"Different Man" Kane Brown's new album
Normally, I'm not a country music listener. However, I listened to Kane's new album "Different Man" with my mom and It's been on repeat ever since it came out. Something about this album has me hooked.
I noticed that Kane Brown tried doing a spin to his normal country sound that he's done in the past. Some songs brought it back to the older country days and others have a bit of hip-hop to hit. Similar to his song that he released a while ago called "Memory" featuring Blackbear.
Kane's main topics on this album focused on his love for his family (his wife included) and his hometown state, Georgia, which I can relate to personally since I live so close to Georgia.
Two Special quests got featured on this album. Blake Shelton, one of the current most popular country singers; also known for his coaching role on "The Voice '' and Kane Brown's wife, Kaitlyn, who is also a singer as well but has taken a step back out of the spotlight. Blake is featured in the song "Different Man" (the song that shares the same title as the album). Kaitlyn Brown is featured in the song "Thank God''. A personal favorite of mine.
My favorite songs on the album currently are Like I Love Country Music, Thank God, and Grand. These three stuck out to me for many reasons. For one, they're all different from each other.
Like I Love Country Music is a fun upbeat song about how Kane, for example, loves his wife so much. In the song he compares his wife to multiple things he loves such as the radio, country music, and his music influences. He mentioned some country singers as well which are Johnny Cash, his wife June, and Alan Jackson. It's honestly such a fun song to listen to and dance to.
Thank God is similar but slightly different. It's more of a laid back song. The kind of song that makes you away with your eyes closed. If you have a lover and are religious, this song is for you! It's definitely a tear jerker. The song is a duet like I mentioned earlier that involves Kane Brown and his wife, Kaitlyn. Together they sing about how thankful and in love they are with each other. That without God, maybe their paths wouldn't have crossed. It's such a sweet song and has to be my favorite song at the moment.
Lastly, the song Grand. It sounds completely different from the rest. It has a hint of hip hop/ pop to it mixed with Kane's country accent. It's the type of song that makes you want to scream the lyrics at the top of your lungs. The song is about how for years, Kane dreamed about being a star in front of fans who love him and his music. And now he finally has that chance. That after all he has worked for, it finally paid off. In the song grand he talks about how life is so grand now that he keeps it close with his family and fans. He wouldn't change it for anything. To me this song is such an inspiration. That no matter how hard it gets, there's always something to work forward to and that the destination is so worth it!
Overall, I think Kane Brown really has out done himself. This album is so different from what he's done yet seems to be what Kane really wanted to do in the first place. It reaches out to a variety of fans who have different tastes in genres. All 17 songs were so uniquely different. I highly recommend giving this album a listen!
